It was later 2016 when I  started my first website as a travel blog "royalroadsride.com" out of curiosity to share my travel content but it went unsuccessful initially because in my learning phase all the mistakes I tried on building a website was on this particular website in other words I was learning along with implementing. 

So I decided to share the most comprehensive step by step method that will help you to create a new WordPress website without learning how to code or hire a web developer.

DISCOVER AN IDEA FOR YOUR WEBSITE 

Before creating a new WordPress website you need to decide its Niche, for example do you want to create a website based on Technology,Education,Arts and Crafts, News and Publishing, Travel and Tourism , Cooking, E commerce etc. 

There are so many categories of websites to choose from but as per our recommendation go for a website in the field in which you are experienced for example I have done studies in business and management also studied and applied "Digital Marketing" that's why I have a vision and experience to share new and updated content on a regular basis on this website similarly whatever platform you choose to build your website at first you need to make sure what would be the root content and niche of your website. 

So once you decide your website niche then comes the next step ; 

FIND AND REGISTER A DOMAIN 

Now "Domain" is simply your website name, for example you are reading this article on "www.inspireadvices.com" so this is a domain name that is unique and I found it as available when I searched for it and booked it for myself. 

Similarly if you want to start a new website at first you need to find available domain name for your new website and book it to further continue to build your website. 

There are many domain registrar companies out there in the market like Go daddy,Google,etc, Even while purchasing your hosting you could get an option to get a domain name but it depends on your plan  

So to start a website the mandatory purchase is Domain and Hosting Plan. 

PURCHASE A HOSTING PLAN 

Once you book a domain from the domain registrar the next step is to purchase a hosting plan, now before purchasing a hosting plan you need to be very careful because alone purchasing a domain will not help.

The first mistake that I made while creating my new WordPress website was that I opt for not so good hosting service provider due to which all my hard work was flushing out. The website used to load very slow and server goes down when traffic gets increased on my website, Then I took a decision to change my hosting provider due to which my website loading speed improved and I observed growth in my website traffic. 

If you take my opinion I am currently using two hosting plans both are Linux based and also "shared hosting" for one website each one with godaddy.com and other with bluehost.com. 

Well initially it is recommended that you should go for blue host hosting plan if you are running a WordPress blog as their servers are optimized for the WordPress websites but what i have observed is that if I am only posting my blog posts with only optimized images for web then you could choose any one of them, you will hardly notice any difference in the beginning. 

Also in case of any issues their support team is also available and ready to help you 24 * 7. In terms of expenditure in my case bluehost was expensive hosting than godaddy hosting because I also used a promo code that was available to me by godaddy since I purchased some domains from that registrar. 

CONNECT DOMAIN WITH HOSTING | UPDATING THE NAME SERVERS

Now comes a little bit tricky part for beginners, Suppose you purchased a domain name from godaddy.com and hosting from a different service provider like bluehost.com then in order to connect them so that you could upload files in your CMS (Content Management System) like Wordpress and that should be visible to the world on the internet if someone enters your domain name. 

Then you have to update the name servers in your DNS Management section within your Domain registrar dashboard - this will be provided to you by your domain provider and the nameservers will be provided to you by your hosting provider and will be sent to you on your email also once you newly purchase that hosting. 

For further assistance you could call your hosting or domain service provider for technical support and they will help you configure your "name servers". 

After updating your name servers it will take 24 to 48 hours for the changes to take effect and this is it the initial setup of your website is fully configured now you don't need to change anything from your DNS ( Domain Name Server ) side. 

INSTALL CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (WORDPRESS) 

WordPress is a "Content Management System" software that will also help you create your new website and manage content that you want to share with the world on your website. Wordpress helps to create a dynamic and regularly updating website with content like Blog with no coding required.

WordPress is absolutely Free and also is one of the best Platform to create your stunning website.

To install Wordpress your Hosting Service Provider will offer you a your login credentials to access the server ( CPanel Acount ) here you need to find Scripts option which is usually available if you scroll down and here you will find several scripting languages make sure you choose "Wordpress" from that list and if it is not available then kindly ask your hosting service provider. 

Click on install and here you need to update your login admin username and password also copy the url with which you will access your wordpress dashboard - The url would be something like 

"www.yoursitename.com/wp-admin".

Once you login into your dashboard you need to install a new theme as per your choice, WordPress usually comes with a default theme, but in order to make your website more appealing and attractive to your website visitors you need to install a theme that you could simply install by

• Select Themes
• Search for a Theme or upload a Custom Theme
