The world is full of opportunities but in order to grab those opportunities we need to be very well prepared in advance, Similarly, there are not just one but many different types of employment's out of which here we will going to understand some of the most important ones so that it could help in preparing students for careers.
Today many people especially fresh graduates are struggling to get jobs and ultimately blame institutions, society, and even the government for not providing enough job opportunities but the bitter truth is that as a student we have incomplete knowledge about our career path as many of us don’t choose our career option all by ourselves, it would not be wrong to say that most parents choose for them what to study, which stream to choose and so on either due to family background culture or under the influence of society, relatives, peer pressures etc due to which we had to follow the path shown by someone else which many a time are based on very less proven facts and misconceptions about the nature of employment and success in life.
As a student, we are initially unaware of the types of employment that we could apply for immediately after our graduation based on our education, talent, skills, experience, and expertise. Even if we are aware of the types of employment but still we sometimes don't pay much attention to it or our mind gets deviated from the correct path.
As a student, we only have a basic idea about the jobs and types of employment either as a private or government job, on the other hand, we have made a perception that in a job a person goes to office every day, leave early in the morning and come back home in the evening but nowadays jobs are very much complicated than we think that we need to understand here.

TYPES OF EMPLOYMENT
If you observe clearly about our education system, We undoubtedly focus more and more on theoretical knowledge. We are forced to follow the specified curriculum as per education boards and universities and the sad part is that it is 95% repetitive course every year, due to which even professors and teachers are not upgrading themselves and teaching the same monotonous academic course every year to the next generation and "very less weightage" is given practical course which is biased and treated just like formalities in schools and colleges nowadays.INTERNSHIPS

We need to understand here that studies and job are way apart from each other. Studies help you to make things understand but until you apply that knowledge in your work it's simply of no use.

You might have seen people working in the restaurant's, corporate offices, malls, theaters, hospitals, medical stores, hotels, security staff, tutors etc.

The problem in countries like India is that we relate jobs or any work with our social status and therefore rank different types of jobs different people perform. that's why part-time jobs are less supported by society here,

There are organisations that hire employees on a contract basis either on third party payroll and certain fixed duration of time lets say 2 or 3 years as per contract.

If the contract is renewed you will be working until contract renews or may become permanent otherwise you will be notified to look for another job.
Usually, people do this mistake when its about choosing less paying Permanent jobs vs High Paying Contractual job keeping in mind the job security which is a myth. If you need to grow in this competitive world you need to explore, learn and change yourself as this industry demands and that is what Contractual job is providing you, Since you are afraid of losing your job after a certain period of time you don't prefer contract job but this is the best thing that could ever happen to you, Lets suppose you are enrolled in a contract job for 1 year now so from day 1 itself you know that you need to change your job after 1 year so you will be prepared in advance and will learn about your current role to look for better job after 1 year after you get 1 year experience from the current role. But nowadays there are many fake agencies operating in our country to con fresh graduates so you need to be careful.
FREELANCE JOBS
Another type of employment in today's world is freelance jobs, which is very popular nowadays. This type of job is a bit casual in nature but at the same time very effective and profitable with lots of benefits and freedom that one always strive to achieve in life.
Freelance jobs may or may not require you to go to the office every day at a different location, Here work and timely delivery is more important rather than a formal dress code.
You could also start earning from home or set up your own home office for freelance work
If you have the right skills and experience to perform a particular job or service for any organization or individual then you could pitch for freelance projects.
Let's take an example of a web designer to better understand this concept, If you know how to code or build professional websites for different purposes then you could pitch domestic as well as international clients to assign you that project.
You may charge them for the completion of that project on the per hour basis or monthly depending upon the agreement of work and once you perform the timely delivery of your work with quality then you will gain the trust of the client and so you will start getting more and more freelance projects.
It depends whether you take it as a job or your own business but as a Freelancer if you are good at what you do your growth possibilities will be limitless.
There might be chances of no income to limitless income as a freelancer but once you invest your time, skills, efforts and money in the right direction you will certainly get something more than your expectations from your work, Its a matter of time and willingness.
COMMISSION BASED JOBS
Let's get to know about the another types of employment as "Commission Based Jobs" , here also the type of employment varies. To give you a brief idea the Commission Based Jobs are more relevant for people who are onboard for sales process.
In the Commission Based Jobs you may be hired by an organisation or an agency to promote their sales in the market for their product or services. Let's understand this with a simple example - Suppose you are standing near to any office and randomly someone approach you to try their credit card and introduce you some of its benefits so that you get a new credit card from them , what do you think these people are doing !
These are the people doing a commission based job in a field, in which for every successful sale or subscription they will earn a commission from the client or company its that simple.
Here you need to understand that in a commission based job you may or may not get a regular salary and just earn from commissions of your sales but its also possible that you get hired for a job where you are likely to earn a regular income plus commssions for your sales.
PERMANENT JOBS - FULL-TIME JOBS
Now Let’s understand the concept of Permanent Jobs.
Yes! there are many benefits of a permanent job for regular employees. if you are able to get a permanent job directly after completing your studies then it would be a great opportunity for you.
with a permanent job we usually believe that the Organisation could not detain us and we could be working there lifetime but there is a lot more to add to it.
At first, we need to understand that permanent job is a job that is offered by the organization directly to an employee with no third party involved, in simple words it is a one to one agreement between organization and employee.
Here employee will work on the commands on the employer and get paid directly by that employer as per agreement.
If you join a Permanent job then there is no predetermined last day of your job role as per employer but if employ wants then they could resign from the services of the organization on a voluntary basis.
As per different organization policies, even if you have a Permanent job but still organization may ask you to leave if certain conditions are met.

- Employee making loss to organization
- Windup of Organisation
- and similar other situations
Now if we talk about some of the benefits of a Permanent Jobs as compared to other jobs then an Employee can be eligible for promotions and internal career growth within the organisation.
